RB Stewart to get the bulk of the carries this year

  • Despite drafting Christian McCaffrey in the NFL Draft, it is expected that the Panthers will give the bulk of the carries to Jonathan Stewart.
  • Stewart was 20th out of 62 qualified running backs last year with an overall grade of 73.9.
  • Stewart was also third out of 25 qualified running backs in elusive rating (uses missed tackle rate and yards gained after contact to measure a runner’s success beyond the point of being helped by his blockers) at 59.6, and he finished 10th in yard after contact per attempt at 2.75.
