- Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has said wide receiver Robert Woods will “be out a couple of weeks with a shoulder injury“, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
- McVay described Woods' injury as a “significant loss,” which is reflected in the fifth-year receivers' stats so far this season. Woods has participated in 82 percent of the Rams' offensive snaps, and his current passer rating when targeted (124.2) ranks ninth in the league.
- Woods' current overall season grade of 80.9 ranks 18th out of 115 qualifying wide receivers and tops his career-high 79.0 overall grade (2014).
- Emerging as a deep threat within Los Angeles' offense, Woods has recorded 226 receiving yards on deep passes (20-plus air yards) this season, which ranks 13th among 56 qualifying wide receivers. He is also averaging the second-most yards per route run (2.32) among receivers with 92-plus slot routes.
- Also coming in at 2.32, Woods' overall yards per route run average ranks fifth among receivers with at least 28 targets and sits comfortably higher than his previous career-high of 1.73 (2016).
