  • Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com reported that the Oakland Raiders are signing linebacker NaVorro Bowman to a contract. The one year deal allows Bowman to stay in the Bay Area after being released by the San Francisco 49ers last week.
  • Bowman's current overall PFF grade of 45.0 ranks 63rd among 84 qualifying linebackers. Before suffering a serious knee injury in January of 2014, he was PFF's second ranked linebacker for three straight years from 2011 to 2013, with his career high mark of 90.5 coming in 2013.
  • Bowman is still playing well against the run, and Oakland will likely use him as a two-down run stopper. His 13 run stops are the eighth most of any linebacker this year, and his 8.9 percent run-stop percentage ranks 28th at linebacker.
