  • New England Patriots RB Mike Gillislee returned to full practice Tuesday, according to Mike Reiss. Gillislee has been dealing with a hamstring injury for the last two weeks, with a crowded backfield in New England it will be key for Gillislee to stay healthy and get more reps.
  • Gillislee had a breakout season with the Buffalo Bills in 2016, finishing with an overall PFF grade of 80.9, which ranked 13th among running backs, and was the highest grade by any Patriots running back currently on the roster.
  • Gillislee was at his best earning his yards on big plays. Last season, Gillislee earned 43.3 percent of his rushing yards on runs of 15 or more yards, the third-best percentage among runners with at least 83 rushing attempts.
  • He also proved to be elusive with the ball in his hands, he forced a total of 19 missed tackles on just 110 touches for an elusive rating of 57.6, the eighth-best mark among 53 qualifying running backs (elusive rating uses missed tackle rate and yards gained after contact to measure a runner’s success beyond the point of being helped by his blocker).
