Carolina signed offensive guard Andrew Norwell as an undrafted free agent in 2014. He has exceeded expectations and become one of the league’s best guards during his time with the Panthers. Norwell signed his second-round tender this week, meaning another team would have to give up their second-round pick if they sign him to a contract.

  • Norwell has ranked as the eighth highest-graded guard in both the 2015 and 2016 season.
  • He ranked in the top 15 in pass-blocking grade (85.2) and run-blocking grade (84.8) last year.
  • He has allowed six total sacks over three seasons starting for the Panthers.
  • Norwell and fellow guard Trai Turner are set to be unrestricted free agents after the 2017 season.
