Panthers backfield strong in Week 10 win over Dolphins

  • The Carolina Panthers produced 201 yards on the ground in their Week 10 Monday Night Football win over the Miami Dolphins. RB Jonathan Stewart had a strong bounce-back game after posting his two worst of the season the past two weeks. His game grade of 81.7 matched his season-high from Week 1. Christian McCaffery also had a nice game despite only touching the ball eight times. His game grade of 85.5 was the third-highest for a running back this week.
  • Generating yards after contact was a specialty for Panthers running backs Monday night earning 143 of their 201 rushing yards after contact. On 17 attempts, Stewart averaged 3.70 yards after contact and forced two missed tackles.
  • McCaffery earned 22 of his 23 rushing yards after contact forcing four missed tackles on five carries. He also added a fifth forced missed tackle on a catch.
  • Even Cameron Artis-Payne chipped in with 60 of his own yards after contact forcing three missed tackles on seven carries. With the game already out of reach he ripped off a 43-yard scamper forcing two missed tackles.
