  • Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson left Sunday Night Football’s defeat to the Atlanta Falcons with a quad injury. Though it appeared like a non-contact injury when he pulled up, he had in fact taken a knee to the quad earlier in the game, and it is not expected to keep him out long.
  • Nelson is the Packers top receiver, and when healthy makes a huge difference to that offense. After working back from injury a season ago, Nelson’s improved play was a big reason behind the jump in offensive output from the Packers.
  • Nelson’s WR rating – the passer rating when throwing to just a single receiver – jumped 31.1 points from the first half of 2016 to the second half, the biggest improvement in the NFL, and he ended the season second in the league with a rating of 122.4.
