- According to Andrew Gribble of clevelandbrowns.com, Cleveland Browns edge defender Nate Orchard is at 100 percent health heading into training camp after a severe ankle injury ended his 2016. With the hiring of new defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, Orchard will be moving from outside linebacker back to defensive end where he played at Utah in college. He was a second-round pick in 2015.
- Orchard will hope to build on an underwhelming start to his career. As a rookie in 2015, Orchard earned a 59.9 overall grade and ranked as just the 70th edge defender overall.
- As a rookie, Orchard particularly struggled producing while rushing the passer. His pass-rush productivity of 5.4 ranked 50th out of 52 3-4 outside linebackers with at least 105 pass-rush snaps.
