  • Raiders defensive lineman Jihad Ward recently posted a photo of himself with a cast on his lower left leg. It appears Ward had surgery on the leg sometime in June.
  • Ward struggled his rookie season, posting a 37.7 overall PFF grade that was the lowest of all 127 interior defensive lineman that qualified in 2016.
  • Ward has some upside as an interior pass-rusher — his 27 total quarterback pressures (0 sacks, 9 hits, 18 hurries) were the 17th-most of any 3-4 defensive end last season.
