  • LB Luke Kuechly, Carolina Panthers – After missing a game with a concussion, Kuechly was cleared from concussion protocol this week and will start Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kuechly has been very good this season earning an overall grade of 85.6, the sixth-highest mark among linebackers. The presence of Kuechly should help the Panthers slow down the potent tight end combo the Buccaneers present with Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard.
  • QB Jameis Winston, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – According to the team, Winston re-injured his throwing shoulder Week 7. While he is not expected to miss time, this is a situation to watch as the Buccaneers take on division-rival Carolina in what should feel like a must-win game for both teams. Winston is having a career-year and currently ranks ninth among quarterbacks with an overall grade of 82.6. Winston has been on fire this season when using play action and has posted the fifth-highest passer rating of 124.3 on those plays.
  • S Glover Quin, Detroit Lions – Dealing with a concussion, the Lions completely removed Quin from the injury report on Friday ending all doubts of his availability for their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Steelers. Quin, who was involved in a brutal collision in the Lions Week 6 loss to the Saints, was a strong candidate to miss time with the perceived severity of the injury. The second-highest graded safety in 2017, Quin has been the Lions anchor on defense and has played at an elite level all season earning an overall grade of 91.8. On top of his coverage skills, Quin has been an important cog in stopping the run lining up in the box on 45.5 percent of snaps. On snaps lined up in the box, He has the second-highest run stop percentage among safeties at 13.1 percent.

  • T Trent Brown, San Francisco 49ers – The 49ers ended speculation on Brown’s availability by ruling him out with a concussion. Brown was injured last week and is yet to be cleared from concussion protocol. This is bad news as the 49ers come up against a vicious Eagles pass-rush that ranks fifth in the NFL in pressure rate with a mark of 38 percent. Brown has been one of the best pass blockers at tackle this season as his pass blocking efficiency of 96.8 ranks 10th league-wide. Brown has surrendered just 12 pressures on 290 pass blocking snaps with only being a sack.
  • CB Josh Norman, Washington Redskins – While Norman, is still listed as “questionable” for the Redskins Week 8 game versus the Cowboys with a rib injury, most sources believe he will play. This paves the way for another great showdown between Norman and Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant. While he hasn't played since Week 4, Norman is allowing the fourth-ranked catch rate of just 40 percent this season along with a passer rating against of just 60.0.
