Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys – CBS, 4:30 PM

McCoy Takes the Reins

Colt McCoy will look to build off a solid showing last week after taking over for injured starter Alex Smith. McCoy’s 68.3 game grade from Week 11 is promising, given he hasn’t graded above 70 since 2010.

Reed’s New Role

Tight end Jordan Reed is lining up in the slot more than ever in 2018, and it’s been paying dividends. At his position, Reed ranks in the top 10 of both touchdowns and yards per route run from the slot.

The Tale of Two Kerrigans

Ryan Kerrigan is providing far more value to Washington as a pass-rusher than a run-defender this season. Of all edge defenders, the eight-year-veteran ranks ninth in total pressure versus 106th in run-stops.

Getting Pressure on the Money Down

The Redskins are putting pressure on the quarterback when it matters most this year. Their team defensive pressure percentage on third down ranks third in the NFL.

Prescott Bouncing Back

Dak Prescott is reminding the Cowboys why they were so excited after his promising rookie season. While Prescott’s 90.9 grade when kept clean is close to his 2016 number, his grade when under pressure still warrants concern.

Zeke Feeling Fresh

Ezekiel Elliott has been on fire since the team’s Week 8 bye. When comparing the three weeks before and after, Elliott has drastically improved in most categories all while leading the league in rushing yards since Week 9.

Lawrence Dominating Again

Zeke wasn’t the only Cowboy who benefited from the bye week. Edge defender DeMarcus Lawrence has racked up 13 total pressures and six defensive stops since Week 9.

Drafting Well on Defense

The Cowboys have invested high draft picks at the linebacker position over the years, and it’s paying off. Leighton Vander Esch and Jaylon Smith have been the backbone of the defense thus far in 2018 combining for 61 defensive stops.
