Quarterback grade: Marcus Mariota, 84.9
Mariota nearly perfect
Titans QB Marcus Mariota closed out the victory completing 16-of-18 attempts of 19 yards or less, 13-of-18 when blitzed with four touchdowns and six-of-nine when under pressure. Representing the highest grade of the season for Mariota, he and TE Delanie Walker proved lethal to the defensive efforts of Green Bay.

Delanie Walker = Unstoppable
After RB Demarco Murray took the first carry on the first play of the game off the left end to the house for 75 yards, the early vote for game MVP tilted in his favor. Murray did nothing to diminish his effort throughout the remainder of the game, but TE Delanie Walker stole the show after collecting each of his nine targeted passes determined to be catchable for 124 receiving yards, one touchdown, eluded six tackle attempts and posted the game high run blocking grade (80.3).

Defense unfazed by aggressive comeback attempt
The Titans’ secondary was challenged to stall the comeback attempts of future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Rookie FS Kevin Byard out of Middle Tennessee State answered the call. Targeted on seven passes, Byard would permit four to be completed, but allowed only six combined yards after the catch and 0.40 yards per coverage snap. Byard added a sack, six tackles and five run stops to a tremendous showing.
Quarterback grade: Aaron Rodgers, 76.5
Comeback mode distress
During the Packers post-game press conference, QB Aaron Rodgers admitted that he’s “got to play better.” While his play during the game did not represent his most efficient effort of the season, it was far from a disaster and he was playing catchup from the mid-first quarter onward. Rodgers ended the day with a season-high 371 yards passing, but would only complete 10-of-23 passes on throws 10 yards or greater with a pair of interceptions.

Mixed bag of performances
One takeaway from the loss that should be a big boost to the Packers offense – RB James Starks appears to be fully recovered from knee surgery in mid-October. However, this game will likely take some time to forget despite some strong performances. Rookie LT Jason Spriggs and RG Don Barclay were forced into action following injuries to David Bakhtiari and T.J. Lang. The pair ended up allowing two sacks and six total pressures but the remainder of the line play well enough to keep the offense moving. Wideouts Jordy Nelson and Devante Adams showcased their skill on several occasions, but Randall Cobb (46.4) and TE Richard Rodgers (38.9) failed to match their momentum.

Defensive miscues too much for offense to overcome
When your secondary allows the opposing quarterback to complete 80 percent of his passing attempts and four touchdown passes – victory is unlikely to be an option. While several culprits could be mentioned, CB Micah Hyde (36.9) was the least effective after allowing each of his coverage responsibilities targets to be completed and a pair of touchdown passes. Rookie LB Blake Martinez out of Stanford put forth a strong effort with a quarterback hit, seven tackles and six run stops.
