Markus Wheaton showed flashes of excellence during his four-year tenure as a Steeler. There proved to be no room for him in the talented Pittsburgh receiving corps, however, as they team let him walk. PFF shows how he could fare in Chicago.
- Wheaton graded above-average in the two years he was given a fair number of targets; he was targeted 88 times in 2014 and 89 in 2015.
- The former Steeler ranked in the top half of the league in YPRR (yards per route run) just once in his career (2015 season).
- The Bears had no wide receivers grade above 75.0 last season. Wheaton will compete with Cameron Meredith and returning Kevin White for snaps this season.
