- According to Jeff Dickerson, Chicago Bears head coach John Fox has said that QB Mitchell Trubisky will start the Bears Week 4 preseason game this Thursday night against the Cleveland Browns.
- So far this preseason, Trubisky has an overall PFF grade of 73.2 which ranks 22nd among qualifying quarterbacks. His overall PFF grade is the highest of the four Bears quarterbacks to feature in the preseason and is much better than the grade of the presumed starter Mike Glennon, who has an overall PFF grade of 46.8.
- Trubisky has looked accurate during the preseason, his adjusted completion percentage of 82.2 is the second highest among quarterbacks with at least 37 pass attempts. From a clean pocket Trubisky has a passer rating of 130.0, throwing for three touchdowns and zero interceptions.
