  • Miami Dolphins CB Tony Lippett will miss the entire 2017 season with a torn Achilles tendon. Lippett suffered the injury during practice Monday. This is just another setback for the Dolphins, who have already lost starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill and second-round pick Raekwon McMillon for the year as well.
  • Lippett played more snaps than any other Miami Dolphins cornerback in 2016. He played 917 defensive snaps last season including playoffs, 95 percent of the team’s total defensive snaps. It won’t just be on defense where he will be missed, as he also played 162 total snaps on special teams.
  • Despite only achieving an overall PFF grade of 48.9 last season, Lippett did lead the Dolphins with four interceptions and only allowed a passer rating of 87.6, the second-best mark by a Miami cornerback.
