– We've been waiting since May to see what rookie wide receiver DeVante Parker (+2.4) can do for the Miami Dolphins' offense, and he followed up his 80-yard—but two-drop—performance against the New York Jets last week, with a three-reception, 63-yard day against the Baltimore Ravens. His performance was highlighted by his 38-yard touchdown grab on 1st-and-10 with 1:54 left in the first half. Leaping up to grab the ball where only he could catch it, it was the type of play that saw him drafted in the first round on this year's NFL Draft.
– The Dolphins' defense made life tough for Ravens' quarterback Matt Schaub (-0.4), and it started with defensive ends Olivier Vernon (+7.0) and Derrick Shelby (+6.3), who took on Baltimore's offensive tackle pairing of James Hurst (-8.2) and Rick Wagner (-4.9). Vernon finished the game with three sacks, three hits, and five hurries, while Shelby racked up a sack, two hits and four hurries.
– One note of concern for the Dolphins was the play of right guard Billy Turner (-7.0). The second-year player from North Dakota State has had more downs than ups this season, but yesterday's game against the Ravens was his worst of the year so far. He struggled in pass protection, giving up a hit and two hurries, and was pushed around in the running game by the Ravens' tough interior defensive line.

– As we noted earlier, left tackle James Hurst really struggled against Olivier Vernon, but just how much he struggled is a big concern for the Ravens, as they look to see out the season with Matt Schaub at quarterback. After three poor games to start the year, Hurst actually saw some improvement when he replaced Eugene Monroe in the lineup, with two positively graded performances heading into this game. Allowing a sack, two hits, and four pressures against Miami, he regressed from his early season form.
– As much as this season hasn't gone their way, and it was another close loss, there have been some positives, including the play of rookie running back Javorius Allen (+3.8) since taking over for the injured Justin Forsett. Allen had his third consecutive positively graded game as the Ravens' primary ball carrier. While he had some nice runs, he made his biggest impact as a receiver, catching 12 passes for 97 yards, including a 41 yard catch and run.
– One player to keep an eye on down the stretch is undrafted rookie wide receiver Daniel Brown (+1.1). The box score shows the 6-foot-5-inch receiver with one 17-yard reception, but he also had a 52-yard touchdown nullified for a soft offensive pass interference call. He's seen just 26 snaps since arriving in Baltimore, but he's starting to make his impact felt.
