- According to Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott, tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, who is still recovering from offseason hip surgery following a fall at his home, is “on track” to being full strength by training camp.
- Kouandjio is expected to start for the Bills at right tackle for the 2017 season having started five games at left tackle for the injured Cordy Glenn last season.
- Kouandjio ranked 34th among 78 qualified tackles last season with a 76.7 overall grade.
- He saw just six total offensive snaps between Weeks 4-13 but from Weeks 14-17 he logged 255 snaps while allowing just three total QB pressures in pass protection. Over that stretch Kouandjio ranked sixth out of 58 qualified offensive tackles with a 98.1 pass block efficiency rating (PBE measures pressure allowed on a per snap basis weighting towards sacks).
