  • Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Post-Gazette believes that Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jeff Janis is “unlikely to develop significantly more as a receiver” and will enter camp at the bottom of the depth chart.
  • Janis has notched just 455 snaps for the Packers since being taken in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL draft. In three years, he has seen just 40 targets, and accounted for just 2% of Aaron Rodgers pass attempts.
  • The highlight of Janis’ career up to this point was the 2015 divisional playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals, in which he achieved an overall PFF grade of 89.5, by far highest grade of his career, thanks in part to getting on the end of an Aaron Rodgers wonder-throw late in the game.
  • Janis ended the 2016 season with a receiving grade below 60.0 in 12 of his 16 games, and ended the season averaging just 0.61 yards per route run, which ranked 155th of 158 receivers with at least 10 targets.
