- The Houston Texans got a monster defensive performance from edge defender Jadeveon Clowney in Sunday afternoon’s game against the Seahawks. Despite the game being a shootout, Clowney put up the highest game grade of the week among edge defenders with a game grade of 96.6.
- On 45 pass-rush snaps, Clowney earned a pass-rush productivity of 15.6 while racking up a season-high nine pressures including a sack and a hit. He was also dominant stopping the run tallying three run stops on just 18 run defense snaps.
- With a huge game this week, Clowney is back in the top-15 among edge defenders in overall grade with a mark of 84.7. He has been effective rushing the passer and stopping the run. Among 3-4 outside linebackers, he ranks seventh with a run stop percentage of 8.4 percent, he’s produced 11 run stops on 131 run defense snaps.
