- CBS 4 Indy’s Mike Chappell says that he expects that RB Frank Gore will be the workhorse back this season for the Colts.
- Last season Gore’s overall grade of 70.9 ranked him 27th out of 62 qualified running backs.
- Gore struggled with his elusiveness last year, ranking 23rd out of 25 running backs in yards after contact per attempt with 2.06, and his elusive rating (used to measure a runner’s success beyond the point of being helped by his blockers) of 15.7 put him dead last out of those 25 running backs. He also only forced 15 missed tackles on rushing plays, which was 23rd among those qualified backs.
- In 2015 however, Gore was 10th out of 26 backs in elusive rating at 39.0, and he forced the seventh most missed tackles on rushing plays with 36.
