- Thornton was the best guard in pass-blocking efficiency on the Colts two of the three years he started (94.1 in 2013, 95.3 in 2015).
- Thornton faced on average five of the top 10 defensive tackles in pass-rush productivity each year he started.
- He missed the 2016 season due to a foot injury after starting 32 games at LG and RG.
