  • In the Buffalo Bills‘ Week 5 game against the Cincinnati Bengals edge defender Jerry Hughes was dominant. Despite not recording a sack this week, Hughes earned the games highest grade at 90.9 overall, which also currently stands as the weeks top grade among edge defenders.
  • Hughes almost single-handedly ruined the Bengals running attack, earning a near perfect run-defense grade of 95.7. Routinely beating his blocks, Hughes racked up four run-stops on 20 run-defense snaps. A stop constitutes a loss for the offense.
  • On 28 pass-rush snaps, Hughes was also a very effective pass-rusher, registering six total pressures, including two hits on the quarterback. His pass-rush productivity of 16.1 for the week ranks fifth among 4-3 defensive ends.
