- Per Adam Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed Alshon Jeffery to a four-year, $52 million contract extension. Jeffery was initial signed by the Eagles this offseason on a one-year deal after playing the 2016 on the Chicago Bears’ franchise tag.
- After a slow start (just 1.35 yards per route run through five weeks), Jeffery has given the Eagles substantial production on the outside of late, averaging 2.05 yards per route run from Week 6 on (17th among 83 qualifying wide receivers).
- Jeffery has been one of the key reasons that quarterback Carson Wentz has improved from a player with a 78.3 overall grade a season ago to one with an 85.7, which is good for fifth among quarterbacks. Wentz has a 105.7 passer rating when targeting Jeffery so far this season.
