The New York Jets selected their next possible franchise quarterback in Sam Darnold with the No. 3 overall selection of the 2018 NFL Draft, possibly lucking into a guy who they were apparently very high on. After the New York Giants opted to select Saquon Barkley with the second overall pick, the Jets were able to nab Darnold, who led the nation's quarterbacks with 34 big-time throws (our highest graded throws) a season ago. While his turnovers may have been a cause for concern in 2017, Senior Analysts Steve Palazzolo & Sam Monson explain what else makes Darnold so special in our YouTube draft recap for the Jets.

Joining Darnold in New York as well, third-round pick Nathan Shepherd is already receiving praise and being able to select Tulane CB Parry Nickerson in the sixth round, the Jets draft looks more and more like a complete package. Nickerson enters the Jets secondary after four years of plus-grading from Tulane and ridiculous amounts of production.

Tight end and fourth-round pick Chris Herndon racked up the fourth-most yards from the slot out of the draft class tight ends while Folorunso Fatukasi is a tremendous run-stopper along the defensive interior. Trenton Cannon from Virginia State enters the revamped Jets RB room as well as their final pick from the draft.
