  • Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase has dismissed multiple reports that are suggesting Raekwon McMillan, the team’s second-round selection in the 2017 NFL draft, suffered a suspected torn ACL during their preseason opener on Thursday night.
  • The Ohio State product was expected to start at inside linebacker for the Dolphins, and his PFF overall grade of 85.2 in 2016, ranked 10th amongst inside linebackers. PFF had him ranked as the fourth-best prospect for the position ahead of the draft.
  • He was particularly effective versus the run during his time at college, and his 52 run stops (stops that constitute a “loss” for the offense) in 2015, culminated in a PFF run-stop percentage of 14 percent (total run stops, divided by the number of run snaps played), ranking fifth in the nation.
