  • Per Kevin Dillon of Mass Live, Patriots RB Dion Lewis could be in danger of losing his roster spot this season, because of the depth added with Mike Gillislee and Rex Burkhead.
  • In 2015, before he went down with an injury, Lewis’ elusive rating (uses missed tackle rate and yards gained after contact to measure a runner’s success beyond the point of being helped by his blockers) of 165.2 was second among all running backs.
  • However last season while recovering from injury, Gillislee and Burkhead had higher elusive ratings than Lewis, who checked it at 34.4, which was ranked 66th among all running backs, while Gillislee finished at 57.6, which put him at 21st, and Burkhead at 49.9, ranking him 38th.
