  • According to Chris Brown of buffalobills.com, second-round pick Dion Dawkins will start at left tackle in the Buffalo Bills third preseason game versus the Baltimore Ravens. Dawkins was originally drafted to play right tackle but starter Cordy Glenn (injury) and backup Seantrel Henderson (suspension) will miss time to start the season.
  • Through two preseason games Dawkins has graded as average, playing all 74 snaps at right tackle and earning an overall grade of 75.3.
  • Dawkins has been much better as a run blocker than in pass protection. His 94.7 run block grade ranks first among all tackles in the preseason while his pass block grade of 40.2 ranks near the bottom. His pass-blocking efficiency of 92.9 ranks 87th out of 130 qualifiers; he has allowed four pressures including one sack on 46 pass block snaps.
