  • Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is coming off of a stellar 2016 which he rushed for the second-most rushing yards in league history by a rookie RB, but the Cowboys may be without him to start the season stemming from an alleged incident in 2016 as reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
  • The former Ohio State Buckeye's 88.8 overall PFF grade in 2016 was not only second in the league among RBs but was second-highest grade by a rookie RB in the PFF Era, and the highest since 2006.
  • Elliott's big play ability was evident early and often last season as his 22 rushes of 15 yards or more were tied for most in the league with Bills star LeSean McCoy. Elliott also showed off his sure hands with a drop rate of just 3.03 percent last season which was best among rookie RBs with at least 12 targets.
