Cowboys CBs Awuzie and Lewis practice in full Thursday

  • According to Jean-Jacques Taylor, Dallas Cowboys rookie cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis were full participants in practice Thursday.
  • Lewis has yet to register a snap for the Cowboys since suffering a hamstring injury that held him out of all preseason action. His 21.8 cover snaps per reception in college was the 13th best rate among 460 qualifying cornerbacks in 2016.
  • Awuzie is coming off a solid debut on Sunday against the New York Giants. He was targeted three times, allowing three receptions for 22 yards. His 10.3 cover snaps per target tied for the 19th best among 72 qualifying cornerbacks in Week 1.
  • The Colorado product finished the game with an overall grade of 78.8, 21st among 91 qualifying cornerbacks in Week 1. His grade was second among rookie cornerbacks drafted in the first or second round.
