Cousins went deep more successfully in 2016

  • Since taking over as the full-time starter in 2015, Cousins has not finished a season with a grade under 81.0 and jumped into PFF’s “Very Good” category on the grading scale in year two, which falls between a grade of 85.0 and 89.9.
  • Though he attempted four more passes of 20+ yards in 2014 and 2015, Cousins had five more completions, 167 more yards, and two more touchdowns in 2016 alone.
  • Cousins’ pass yards in air in 2016 were the most in the league with 3,005 yards, though he had 66 less attempts than second ranked Drew Brees.
