  • According to ESPN.com, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay says quarterback Andrew Luck is “healing tremendously” from his shoulder surgery. Luck had surgery on his right shoulder this offseason to repair his labrum. Despite there still being no timetable for his return, he is still expected to be ready for week one.
  • Luck earned a QB rating of 112.0 with a clean pocket (5th in NFL), which dropped all the way to 72.0 under pressure (16th). Keeping him upright has to be a priority.
  • Luck bounced back in 2016 with the highest overall PFF grade of his career (92.4), ranking fourth out of 34 qualifying QBs. This was after the 2015 season where he had a PFF overall grade of 45.1 which was the worst of his career, ranking 37 out of 38 qualifying QBs.
  • Luck was the fourth most accurate QB on deep passes with an adjusted completion % of 54.1 last season. He had 39 completions on deep passes which tied Kirk Cousins for the most in the NFL, and had 11 touchdown passes which tied for second most.
