  • According to the Kansas City Star, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid says rookie RB Kareem Hunt has been a quick study early in training camp. “He’s a smart kid,” Reid said. The Chiefs selected Hunt in the third round of this year’s draft, and he’s expected to challenge Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West for early-season snaps.
  • Hunt graded as the top running back in college football last season with an overall PFF grade of 95.1. He also showed great ability as a pass-catcher out of the backfield; his receiving grade of 89.0 ranked third among runners in 2016.
  • His elusive rating of 112.1 ranked third among runners with a minimum of 183 touches. His 76 forced missed tackles running and 22 receiving were both the second-most among college running backs in 2016.
