  • According to Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Bears TE Zach Millerprobably needs to have a really good camp” to make the Bears roster. Miller’s roster spot appears to be in jeopardy as the Bears have seemingly moved on with the signing of Dion Sims and drafting Adam Shaheen in the second round.
  • Miller had the second-lowest drop rate among tight ends last season (minimum 32 targets), only dropping one of the 48 catchable passes thrown his way in 2016.
  • Miller ended last season on injured reserve after a foot injury ended his season in Week 11. The oft-injured Miller has failed to play in all 16 games of the regular season throughout his eight-year NFL career and has never played more than 561 snaps in a season. Last season Miller played in 82.8 percent of the Bears offensive snaps until his injury, which was a career high.
  • For the second straight year Miller ranked as PFF’s eighth-best tight end with overall grades of 81.0 in 2015 and 82.5 last season. Miller’s grade of 82.5 last season was the highest of his career.
