- Asked about his plans for after the 2017 season, Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer was noncommittal about his playing future. Palmer turns 38 in December and will be playing his 15th season.
- Palmer had an overall grade of 80.1 in 2016, ranking just 17th, and a marked decline from his elite 2015 season (92.9 grade).
- Palmer was effective last year getting rid of the ball quickly. He averaged 2.39 seconds to throw, and threw 21 touchdowns on throws occurring in less than 2.5 seconds. Both marks ranked third out of 37 qualifying quarterbacks.
- A big difference in his 2015 and 2016 seasons was Palmer's performance under pressure. Despite facing pressure 3.5 percent less often in 2016, he finished just 22nd out of 37 quarterbacks in passer rating under pressure (62.4). His 2015 rating of 95.6 ranked second in the league.
