- Mike Jurecki has reported that Arizona Cardinals linebacker Deone Bucannon will be on a snap count when he makes his debut this week against the Dallas Cowboys.
- Albeit only through two weeks, the Cardinal’s linebacking core has struggled in coverage. Haason Reddick and Karlos Dansby have both posted poor coverage grades through the first two weeks, ranking 50th and 54th among 64 qualifying linebackers, with grades of 39.4 and 36.1, respectively.
- Among 52 linebackers last year that saw at least 290 coverage snaps, Bucannon was one of only nine to not allow a touchdown in coverage.
- Bucannon’s 75 yards per coverage snap was the third lowest allowed among NFC linebackers with at least 300 coverage snaps.
