  • According to Pat McManamon, the Cleveland Browns and running back Isaiah Crowell are having discussions about a potential contract extension. Crowell was given a one-year, second round, RFA tender this offseason after playing out a three-year contract he signed as an undrafted free agent in 2014.
  • After a rough rookie season in which Crowell graded “poor” at 44.9 overall, he has been a solid player. In 2015, he earned a 75.0 overall grade and in 2016 he earned a 74.4 overall grade which ranked 27th out of 61 qualifying running backs.
  • In 2016, Crowell was excellent at generating yards after contact and among 42 running backs with at least 100 carries he ranked third, averaging 3.18 yards after contact per carry.
  • Crowell was also very productive producing long runs as he led all running backs in breakaway percentage, the percentage of a players rushing yards on carries of 15 or more yards.
