- Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Zay Jones had a strong performance against the New York Jets before exiting with an injury. According to head coach Sean McDermott, Jones’ injury is still being evaluated.
- After an impressive 2016 season at East Carolina where he only dropped six of his 164 catchable targets, Jones has been unable to replicate that success. Before Week 9, Jones had dropped four of his 17 catchable targets, giving him a drop rate of 23.53, the fourth-highest among 69 qualifying wide receivers. He had a quarterback rating of 53.4 when targeted, the fourth worst among 84 qualifying wide receivers.
- The rookie was able to put his struggles behind him, as he showed flashes of his talent Thursday night. Jones reeled in all six of his catchable targets for 53 yards and a score, and had a quarterback rating of 143.1 when targeted (minimum three targets), the highest of all Bills wide receivers.
