  • On the day before the 2017 NFL Draft, it was revealed that neither Mitchell Trubisky nor Deshaun Watson had personally visited with the Chicago Bears at Halas Hall. Notre Dame QB DeShone Kizer however, had visited twice.
  • While his 2016 grade was nothing special, where Kizer did shine was on play action passes. He ranked first in the FBS in NFL QB Rating on play action passes with a near-perfect 154.7 passer rating.
  • Last season, the Bears ran play action on 20% of their drop-backs and ranked in the top half of the league in total play action drops.
  • Kizer would be a great target at the start of round two, and could allow the Bears to draft a key defensive player in the first round.
