- Arizona Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington was reinstated from suspension Tuesday.
- Washington has missed the last three seasons to suspension, but will still only turn 31 during the 2017 season.
- At his best, he was one of the top coverage linebackers in the NFL, recording six interceptions and breaking up 12 passes over his four-year career.
- Arizona currently has Karlos Dansby (73.5) and Deone Bucannon (77.3), who ranked 46th and 37th, respectively, among inside linebackers in terms of their PFF grades in 2016, so it’s no guarantee Washington would start in 2017.
- Washington was also an impressive blitzer, racking up 19 sacks, 17 hits, and 41 hurries on 466 pass-rushing snaps between 2010 and 2013, so perhaps his route back to playing time will be situational.
