Hey football fans! Here are five things from yesterday that you need to know to start off your Thursdays:

  1. There was another edition of the Teaching Tape series! This week, PFF's Mike Renner focused on the incomparable Aaron Donald. The Los Angeles Ram's best player is also one of, if not the best player in football, and has a new defensive coordinator in Wade Phillips to help unleash him further.
  2. The Bears signed Mitchell Trubisky. The Chicago Bears have inked QB Mitchell Trubisky to a four-year deal. Now they hope he presses also-newly-minted Bear Mike Glennon for playing time.
  3. The seventh-overall draft pick may miss the season. The Los Angeles Chargers may lose WR Mike Williams due to his potential need for season-ending back surgery. There are reports that surgery is no longer an option they are considering and he did begin running again this week however.
  4. PFF continued the pressing fantasy questions for each division series. Today, PFF's Patrick Thorman focused on the NFC North. The most interesting team in the division is the Minnesota Vikings, and whether or not their best fantasy options will continue to outperform their ADPs.
  5. PFF's fantasy team power rankings series continued! Yesterday, PFF's Tyler Loechner featured teams 24 through 21. A second AFC West team makes the list in these spots, held back by their poor quarterback play.
