5 things you need to know for Saturday

Hey there football fans! Here are five things from yesterday that you need to know to start off your weekends:

  1. PFF released the final installment of our Foundational Draft. What players would you select if you got to choose from any in the world? Some of our analysts went for unproven, high ceiling college players, some multiple years away from the NFL in real life.
  2. Wide receiver Josh Doctson reportedly practiced fully during training camp. It will be a big training camp for the Washington receiver. He has a chance to become a regular part of the offense after an injury-filled 2016.
  3. The Los Angeles Rams and Alec Ogletree are working on an extension. He is in the last year of his deal. Ogletree has struggled to reproduce the success he had as a rookie, with one of his major issues being run defense.
  4. PFF's Jeff Ratcliffe released his first fantasy football team preview. Yesterday he focused on the New York Jets. The Jets have experienced a lot of turnover from last year and there will plenty of opportunities for new players to shine.
  5. PFF's George Kritikos brought you positions battles to watch among the running backs group. You have to watch these battles carefully, because not every winner is going to get a full-time job. Some end up splitting work, in defined committees, or (the worst for fantasy players) having their coach determine their role differently each week.
