Hey there football fans! Here are five things you need to know from Sunday to start off your week:

  1. Doug Martin is not guaranteed a starting role once he returns. He's serving the remaining three games of a suspension to start the year, and has stiff competition once he does return. His production took a downward turn last year as well.
  2. Minnesota Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes signed an extension. And boy, it was a monster one, coming in at 5 years and $70 million. Rhodes allowed the lowest passer rating in coverage in the entire NFL last year, but needs to clean up the amount of penalties he produces.
  3. The New England PatriotsRob Ninkovich announced his retirement. He had a career of being graded well, except for the last two years in which he graded poorly. He was among the best in the league at stopping the run from 2011 through 2013.
  4. Indianapolis Colts star quarterback Andrew Luck may not be able to play week 1. Luck is currently on the PUP list and doesn't know if he'll be ready to suit up for their game against the Rams.
  5. PFF's Dan Clasgens brought you a list of the highest upside fantasy running backs at every ADP! Beginning with the second round, each player that made his list has a chance to pay off in a big way if you select him for your team. Dalvin Cook is an especially interesting choice, given his high draft stock.
