5 things you need to know for Friday

Hey football fans, here are 5 things you need to know from yesterday to start your Friday's off right:

1. Mike Renner is back with more Teaching Tape. This time it is on the Buffalo Bill's dominating run scheme. The Bills ran an impressive scheme last year that allowed them to utilize the option run game with remarkable efficiency, relying on the talents of both star running back LeSean McCoy and quarterback Tyrod Taylor to freeze defenders long enough to take them out of plays.
2. PFF's John Kosko studied Jared Goff's rookie year for bright spots. Fear not Rams fans, even after a dreadful rookie year, his situation has improved rather dramatically. Key additions to the offensive line, including LT Andrew Whitworth and C John Sullivan, should vastly improve both their run game and the line's ability to protect Goff.
3. Myles Garrett has re-injured his ankle. The top pick from the 2016 NFL Draft is due to undergo multiple tests of the injury. Garrett was a dominant performer in college, but he had this injury linger in 2016, which dropped his production slightly, and it's also given him trouble this offseason. The Browns certainly hope the talented prospect won't have to miss much time.
4. Jeff Ratcliffe brought you a new way to gauge fantasy production. Looking at past seasons, expected production (xPro) can help filter out which players are likely to repeat big time performances or down years. Is a player like Adam Thielen likely to repeat the breakout season he had in 2016, or did he manage to outproduce his expected production so much that he is more likely to fall back to the mean?
