Hey there football fans! Here are five things from yesterday that you need to know to start off your Thursdays:

  1. Another Teaching Tape article came out! This time, PFF's Mike Renner focused on the exotic smashmouth style of the Tennesse Titans. Given the vast offensive improvement that the Titans saw in 2016 and the weapons at receiver that they added this year, the arrow is pointed firmly up in Tennessee.
  2. PFF focused on NFC training camp battles! PFF released important position battles that are set to be fought in training camp for each NFL team and the players involved in them. Amazingly, there are no real quarterback battles in the NFC.
  3. Extensions, extensions and more extensions. Yesterday was a big day for many NFL players, as Everson Griffen got a four-year extension, La'el Collins got a two-year extension, Brandon Linder got a five-year extension, and as a bonus, news broke that Allen Robinson is in talks for an extension as well.
  4. PFF's Jeff Ratcliffe released a fantasy football keeper value primer! There is very little on discussion on the internet about the determining the value for players that have different round penalties, but that will soon change.
  5. The PFF fantasy football team power rankings continued. Yesterday, PFF's Tyler Loechner featured teams eight through five. The New England Patriots are slotted into one of these spots, but not five, as they were beat out by a team that routinely features a 5,000 yard passer.
