Another week, another 32 observations by Nathan Jahnke finding an interesting piece of information about all 32 NFL teams after another week of football. This week, we shift our focus away from just the rookies, like we did last week, and give you some interesting tidbits from quarterbacks to tight ends, from defensive tackles to safeties and all in between. If you would like to make some observations of your own, you can do so with PFF Elite, where you can find several signature statistics for every offensive and defensive position in football.

AFC EAST

Buffalo Bills: Wide receiver Jordan Matthews is averaging 8.8 yards after the catch per catch, which is the highest rate for receivers with at least five catches.

Miami Dolphins: Over the course of his entire NFL career, Cameron Wake has gotten a pressure one in every 6.01 pass rushes. Out of the 58 defensive players with 3,000 or more pass-rushes since 2006, Wake’s rate at getting pressure is the best.

New England Patriots:  When cornerback Malcolm Butler has lined up in press coverage, he has two interceptions which is tied for the most for cornerbacks in press and three pass breakups which is tied for third-most.

New York Jets: Cornerback Buster Skrine has been the man in primary coverage on seven deep passes this season. On those plays, he’s caught more passes than the offensive receivers at one to zero. He also has a pass breakup on one of those targets.

AFC NORTH

Baltimore Ravens: Defensive linemen Michael Pierce has 17 run stops which is the second-most for all interior defenders.

Cincinnati Bengals: Defensive tackle Geno Atkins has a pass-rushing productivity of 12.8, which is third-best for all interior defensive linemen. He has four sacks, five hits and 15 hurries on 148 pass-rushes.

Cleveland Browns: Defensive back Briean Boddy-Calhoun has allowed just one yard after the catch when lined up in the slot. That is the fewest for players with at least 50 coverage snaps in the slot, and he has 91 such snaps.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Cornerback Mike Hilton has 0.56 yards per coverage snap which is second-lowest for all slot cornerbacks with at least 100 slot snaps this season.

AFC SOUTH

Houston Texans: On Sunday, Johnathan Joseph had two interceptions and one pass breakup. Since joining the NFL in 2006, he has 132 combined interceptions and pass breakups. On Sunday, he passed Darrelle Revis and his 131 combined interceptions and pass breakups for the most in the last 12 years.

Indianapolis Colts: Safety Matthias Farley has 10 run stops, which is tied for second-most among all safeties.

Jacksonville Jaguars: When A.J. Bouye has been thrown at this season, he’s allowed a passer rating of 34.3 which is the lowest for all cornerbacks who have been thrown at least 20 times. Jalen Ramsey has allowed a passer rating of 35.2, which is second-best.

Tennessee Titans: Tight end Delanie Walker has 25 catches this season, and hasn’t dropped a pass. That is the most catches among tight ends who don’t have a drop yet.

AFC WEST

Denver Broncos: When tight end Virgil Green has been targeted, Trevor Siemien has an NFL passer rating of 156.8. That is the best rate for any tight end in the league. Green has caught all seven passes thrown his way for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Kansas City Chiefs: When cornerback Marcus Peters has lined up in press coverage, he has allowed 0.05 yards per coverage snap which is second-best for cornerbacks. He’s allowed just two yards on two targets from 41 coverage snaps.

Los Angeles Chargers: Since the 2006 season, Philip Rivers has led the league in intentionally thrown away passes five times including 2016, and is on pace to do the same in 2017. He’s thrown away 16 passes this year which is tied for second-most through six weeks of the season in the past 12 years. Since 2006, he’s thrown away 359 passes, which is 128 more than any other quarterback.

Oakland Raiders: Outside linebacker Khalil Mack has 18 run stops on the season. That is five more than any other edge defender.

NFC EAST

Dallas Cowboys: Quarterback Dak Prescott has only thrown deep passes on 8.4 percent of his attempts which is fourth-lowest among quarterbacks. However he’s been one of the most effective when throwing deep. His 132.6 deep passer rating this year is second-highest among quarterbacks, and 120.1 career deep passer rating is the best for quarterbacks in the last 12 years.

New York Giants: Safety Landon Collins has nine pressures this season. That is three more than any other defensive back.

Philadelphia Eagles: Cornerback Patrick Robinson has been the man in coverage on four deep passes. He’s had a pass breakup on three of those four plays, and the fourth fell incomplete.

Washington: Left tackle Trent Williams has gone 10 straight starts without allowing a sack. That is the longest current active streak for left tackles.

NFC NORTH

Chicago Bears: Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky intentionally threw away six passes this past week, which is tied for seventh-most in a game in the past 12 years. When you compare that to his 16, he threw away 37.5 percent of his passes. No other quarterback with more than five attempts in a game has thrown away over 28 percent in the last 12 years.

Detroit Lions: This past week, Golden Tate had four players miss tackles on his catches from the slot which was twice as many as any slot receiver. That brings him up to 69 defenders missing tackles on him total in the slot which pushes him past Anquan Boldin for the most in the last 12 years. It took Tate 201 catches in the slot to reach this point, where it took Boldin 469 catches to reach 65.

Green Bay Packers: Linebacker Blake Martinez has a 13.0 percent run stop percentage which is the best for all linebackers with at least 100 run snaps. He has 19 run stops total which is second-most for lienbackers.

Minnesota Vikings: Quarterback Case Keenum has run the ball nine times this season. He’s averaged 2.1 yards after contact per attempt and has had two players miss tackles on his carries. His 46.9 elusive rating is fourth-best among quarterbacks.

NFC SOUTH

Atlanta Falcons: Quarterback Matt Ryan has only run with the ball six times this season, but he is the only quarterback to not get taken down on first contact on his runs yet this season.

Carolina Panthers: This past week Ed Dickson had four catches for 36 yards, with 25 of those yards coming after the catch. He is up to 147 yards after the catch on the season which is third-most for all tight ends.

New Orleans Saints: Defensive end Alex Okafor has 12 tackles in the run game with no missed tackles. That is tied for the most tackles in the run game for all edge defenders with no missed tackles.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tight end Cameron Brate has 2.2 yards per route run, which is the fourth-best rate for tight ends this season.

NFC WEST

Arizona Cardinals: Running back Adrian Peterson has had one or more defenders miss tackles on 17 percent of his carries which is the sixth-best rate for running backs this season.

Los Angeles Rams: Cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman has 0.57 yards per coverage snap which is tied with Chris Harris for third-lowest for all slot cornerbacks with at least 100 slot snaps this season.

San Francisco 49ers: Safety Jaquiski Tartt has 10 run stops, which is tied for the second-most among all safeties.
