2018 NFL Draft team breakdown: Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears ended up making seven picks in this year’s draft. After swinging a deal on Day 2 with the New England Patriots (they traded the 105th overall pick – which New England would then flip to Cleveland – and a second-round pick in the 2019 draft to the Patriots to move up to 51st this year) the Bears ended up taking players at Picks 8, 39, 51, 115 (a pick they acquired in a trade they made with Arizona in last years draft), 145, 181 and 224. While Roquan Smith should certainly be considered the prize player in the Bears 2018 draft haul, the Bears were able to find a tremendous amount of value in the seventh round where they selected Javon Wims, a wide receiver who was Smith’s teammate at Georgia and the 224th overall pick. Wims was a top-100 player for us, coming in at 99th on the PFF draft board.
