PFF Preview: Chiefs @ Bills, Week 10
The most accurate QB in the league Alex Smith and the Kansas City Chiefs will head into Buffalo to take on the Bills’ fearsome pass rush. The Bills are coming back off their bye week after rolling the Jets while the Chiefs had the same good fortune against the AFC East foe last week.
Smith’s 82.2% Accuracy Percentage is tops in the league among QBs with 225 dropbacks and has dealt with an 8.1% Drop Rate which is also leads the league. Meanwhile the Bills have four defensive linemen on their team with 12 or more QB hurries and another four defensive linemen have at least five sacks. Kyle Williams has been doing the most damage with a +11.8 pass rush grade accumulating 26 pressures good for third in Pass Rush Productivity among defensive tackles.
The Chiefs have a pass rushing threat of their own in Justin Houston who has been wreaking havoc. He leads all 3-4 outside linebackers in Pass Rushing Productivity on the year with 43 pressures. The league’s sack leader has 7 sacks, a QB hit, and 14 hurries during the Chiefs three game win streak the past three weeks. Kyle Orton has the seventh best QB Rating among QBs who have played at least 115 snaps during the four weeks he has started for the Bills.

Kansas City Chiefs
Travis Kelce – The sensational second-year tight end target percentage of 27.2% is 2nd to only Rob Gronkowski among those with 40 targets.
Dontari Poe – Ranks sixth in Run Stop Percentage among defensive tackles with 140 snaps and comes in 12th in Pass Rush Productivity among those with 195 snaps garnering 13 pressures.
Phillip Gaines – In the past three weeks the rookie has handled his slot cornerback role well, allowing only six catches on 12 targets for 21 yards.
Preston Brown – The second overall rated rookie 4-3 outside linebacker with a +3.9 overall grade while coming in third among all inside linebackers in coverage with a mark of +3.7.
Mario Williams – He’s produced 25 pressures on the year while grading out green overall, rushing the passer, against the run, and even in penalties.
Sammy Watkins – In four weeks with Orton at QB: caught three TDs, is third in wide receiver rating among those with 29 targets, and is sixth in Yards per Route Run.
