  • If you’re looking for a sleeper candidate at cornerback for the NFL draft, SMU’s Jordan Wyatt is your guy. We highlighted his playmaking ability in the Preseason Draft Guide as got his hands on 10 passes a year ago while forcing four fumbles, and his nose for the football has been on display early in 2017.
  • Against Arkansas State, Wyatt was targeted 11 times, allowing only four catches while intercepting a pass and breaking up three more. For the season, Wyatt now has two interceptions and four pass breakups while dis-lodging two more passes with hits and forcing a fumble.
  • Wyatt has continued his strong tackling as he only has one miss this season and has missed only nine of his 118 career attempts over the last three years. With a 6-foot frame and speed that stood out when matched against Baylor’s speedsters in their 2016 game, Wyatt is a name to watch as the draft process unfolds.
