Pay attention to Bowling Green quarterback Matt Johnson

Don't look now, but Bowling Green quarterback Matt Johnson (+35.0) currently has the second-highest passing grade in the nation behind only Trevone Boykin. With the Falcons' only losses of the year coming against Tennessee and Memphis, Bowling Green has scored 62, 59, 48 and 62 points in each of the past four games, and suddenly looks like one of the best non-Power-5 teams in all of college football. They've improved as a team since the September 19th loss to Memphis, with Johnson starting to make a lot of people stand up and take notice.

He's been ridiculously sound in 2015, completing 70.5 percent of his passes for 3,686 yards, with 33 touchdowns and just three interceptions, and a 14 to zero touchdown-to-interception ratio over the past three games. The most impressive aspect of his game though — and the thing that has him beginning to get some attention from the NFL — is his arm strength, which has been making big plays all year. He has a 15-to-zer0 touchdown-to-interception ratio on passes of 20 yards of more in the air, going 34 for 73 for 1,469 yards in the process. That's 354 more than Boykin who's in second place, and is just 26 shy of 2014's deep passing leader, Marshall's Rakeem Cato.

He's not just a big-armed gunslinger however — almost as impressive as his big play ability is how careful he has been with the football, with just nine turnover-worthy plays in 2015 so far. He's not going to win the Heisman trophy, with stars at major colleges having huge seasons, but he's having the type of season that deserves a lot of attention.
