The waiver wire is always a source of inspiration, but it can be frustrating trying to wade through the lists of names and numbers, trying to find that one piece to make the roster puzzle a complete one.

In deeper leagues, with 14-, 16-, 18- or more teams, this process can be even more frustrating. There are less quality players to work with and the need to get a jump on the opposition and find a good bench stash or surprise starter is that much greater. Getting even a slight edge in a deep league can go a long way toward a championship bid.
